We spend our time asking others: How are you?
And others do the same.
It is all very well to say "I'm fine", but in reality the most important thing is to have good health, because without it, nothing works.
The question becomes: Do we care enough about our health when we are constantly running for our living?
I am afraid that most of us do not pay too much attention to health, as if it is taken for granted. And when the time comes for us to get sick, then the truth comes to us.
I believe that it is only at that moment that we realize how wrong we have been, how much we have neglected this part of our life that is our life. I would like to know how many people before me have dealt with this subject as one I claim to be the most important.
Three Greek thinkers and philosophers also had something to say.
Hippocrates said: Let your food be your first medicine. While for Homer, health, is a healthy mind in a healthy body. Finally, Heraclitus thinks further. He says that the health of the man is the reflection of the one of the Earth.
Therefore, if we see how our famous Earth behaves these days, we will understand that its health is far from good. I can do my best, be good to others and to Nature, respect the rules of a good citizen, but it is not enough. Thousands, no, millions of people like me are needed to improve the World (I voluntarily capitalized Nature and World to show how much I respect them.
I could go on and on complimenting health as so many great men have done before me. Some names come to mind. Thomas Jefferson is said to have said that health is the next most important thing after morality.
When we hear around us that wealthy personalities have died, not having taken care of their bodies but rather their possessions, then, for me, the word that would sum it all up: "there is no wealth preferable to the health of the body. "And this word comes from the Bible in the Ecclesiasticus
I just called my aunt Sary to wish her a Chana Tova. We talked about health and in conclusion she said to me: "Enjoy the good moments that pass. Don't miss them.
