You can think all you want, you can plan all you want, but it's NATURE that will decide what happens.
Over time, we've seen volcanoes erupt, tsunamis surge, earthquakes rock the world, hurricanes, rain and floods pour in, while our ability to exert any control has never materialized.
Only then do we realize how weak we really are.
NATURE has been and always will be the master. Meanwhile, the news and media bombard us daily with CLIMATE CHANGE, as if we had the capacity to understand it, let alone do anything to change it.
How sad!
Every day, we're told to drive less so as not to emit gases that will affect our environment. We don't tell planes to stop flying or boats not to move on the oceans when they emit a little more gas than we poor citizens do.
I decided to talk about this issue even though I'm not a scientist, let alone someone who understands the technical aspects. Far be it from me to debate these issues, however, like everyone else, I'm constantly hearing and reading about CLIMATE CHANGE.
Whichever way you look at it, these two words seem to influence the way we live. Yes, our lives have changed because of this worry, this concern, the attention we pay to this problem. For me, the problem lies in the feeling that society blames me for climate change. It's all my fault!
And if I don't change, the world will go to hell. I, this tiny grain of sand in the universe, am responsible for what happens to us all. What skill, what expertise do I have? And yet, I'm responsible.
Think about it! What can I do? What can you do?
It seems that every government on the planet, except the ones that don't care, is tackling this problem with whatever power they have or give themselves, once again to convince their residents to be better people and take care of that wonderful word we're bombarded with every day: the environment.
In other words, this world of ours will change if we don't change, and it's up to all of us to be better people by taking care of it. Suddenly, I've become important. So important that it's up to me to change the world.
Many would say that every problem has a solution. Our duty now is to find a solution to our problem, because it is one, and it's a big one.
Sea levels are rising and some coastlines could soon be submerged. And if we add pollution to the mix, yes, it's a danger that's staring us in the face. Staring us in the face would be the right word.
Yes, like you, I urgently need to find an answer. This situation is too difficult to swallow alone. We need a conjurer, a magician, almost an illusionist, to get us out of this nightmare.
So let's look for him, and in the meantime, let's live as best we can, and maybe a miracle will happen.
