WHAT WE'RE MISSING
We all think we have everything and lack nothing. But if we're honest with ourselves, we realize that there are many things we need to be a little happier. I say "a little more" because too much would be too much and impossible.
I look around me and see how people live. They all seem happy with their lot and don't ask for more. They live, well or badly, but they live without worrying too much about what they could have been. Isn't that the ideal?
As for me, I see things differently. Life isn't made for living too simply. It always demands more, and we don't give it the credit it deserves. We need to think big! There are so many projects to carry out to make our lives not just pleasant, but rather wonderful.
Yes, the world will notice these changes and wonder how we got to this point. We'll explain it to them, but many won't understand. What's easy for me is hard for others.
Let me give you a small example: STRESS. I've capitalized this word because it deserves it, having managed to contaminate an entire population, making them frustrated and unable to live normally. I'm afraid stress is a new word that didn't exist a hundred years ago. What's happened to us?
Yes, our world has changed, demanding more of us than we can give. Whether it's children at school or adults at work, everyone has a problem they can't solve. Psychologists and psychiatrists are delighted with this situation.
The answer would be so much simpler: why bother magnifying our problem to the point where we can't overcome it?
It's up to us to learn that everything passes with time. To do this, we need to be patient, and patience isn't for everyone.
I insist that I have no stress. I don't let anything destroy my daily routine. I accept things as they come and come to terms with a situation I can't change. Sooner or later, everything falls into place. You just have to realize that you don't have to get irritated right away, because soon everything will change.
My first recommendation would be to 'take a breath', calm down for a moment and coolly consider what has just happened. If we take a closer look at the problem, we'll see that there are ways of solving it if we start immediately...
If we let stress take hold of our imagination and safely react to our fears, stress will succeed. Let's free our imagination from stress and react in a balanced, cool way and it will fail.
If it's something we've been waiting for and it's taking a long time to come, we get stressed. Maybe deep down, this thing isn't as interesting as we thought it was. Maybe everything will be better off without it.
If it's someone who has offended us by what they say, let's judge them first. Does she believe what she said? Why stress me out with unimportant comments?
The problem is that not many people will follow this simple recommendation. That famous word 'patience' is the key, and we need to use it. It's always there, and we tend to forget it.
Believe me, I live simply and enjoy my little life without what others call stress. It's unfortunate to say, but as recently as twenty minutes ago, I was talking to two people and the conversation turned to stress.l
Always the same stress we need to get rid of in order to live better. I can't wait to hear people try my little suggestion, which could improve the lives of all of us.
